Background Story:

This lovely painting was made for Connie's daughter Qiqi as a Children's Day gift. As a mother of three children, "It is very gratifying to see my children growing up happily, but meanwhile, I feel that time is moving too fast, I always want to spend more time with them before they grow up." Connie said, and she often imagines that time can slow down, so that her children can enjoy the scenery along the journey better. So for Children's Day, Connie wanted to express her thoughts to Qiqi in a painting.

The theme of "Growing Up Slowly" reminds me of my childhood, I heard many songs and fairy tales about snails, sometimes I imagined myself living in a snail's moving castle and moving slowly with it. So I thought, "Why not let Qiqi enter my fantasy world and enjoy the simple pleasures in the colorful forest I created for her!"
